This kit sold so well that i am completely out of them. I think it was because it was quite versatile and could be a pendent, bag charm or a dangle to be hung off something. In comparison the fan kit didn’t do so well as i think people thought it might be to difficult.
Kathy Troup from stitch gave me back the sister fan which she had featured recently in Stitch so i had an unplanned delicate piece of work to try and pack up and get home with out crushing it. I did manage to keep it in one piece which is more than i did with the large wall fans. I caught one and broke the side panel so i now need an unscheduled afternoon to restore it back to health. Then i can put it back on the wall where it will be safe.

I had a lovley 5 days at the NEC Birmingham. It was lovley to see all the other textile people and catch up with what thay have been up to.
The new work i have been burning the midnight oil to get finished made it on to the wall by the skin of its teeth. I was still soldering it out the day before we left to set up. Its just as well i work well under pressure. The white walls were a nightmare to bang mounting pins and supports in to but all in all i was pleased with the effect of the stand as i never know how it is going to go up until i get to the show and start unloading.

I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner. It was quite easy to set up with this wonderful site which was so helpful and understanding to a new Blogger.

Today is the day i have been very brave and decided that i need a blog page to write down my thoughts and share my inspirations. This is the new rose bud curl kit i designed for the Fashion and embroidery show recently held at the N E C Birmingham. Watch this space as it soon multiplied and became a quilt coverlet.
