Learn the traditional techniques of couching gold cords and applying metallic leathers in this contemporary embroidery of a sparrow amongst pink flowers. Experience working with T71 cord, and 1mm cord as you couch the design. Use check and purl wires to create texture and light-catching effects and then add colour with satin stitch, and stem stitch. This charming bird is approximately 5” x 8” when completed. The kit comes with all materials. You will need a 10” wooden embroidery hoop, cotton sewing thread to match your cords, a selection of sewing needles to include a beading needle and a large-eyed bodkin/tapestry needle for plunging cords.
